◗ New technical work exercises at all levels, specially composed to develop key areas of piano technique (NB candidates presenting the 2021–2023 syllabus must prepare the new 2021–2023 exercises)
◗ Updated musical knowledge parameters, providing increased detail for candidates and teachers (see pages 28–29)
OVERLAP ARRANGEMENTS
This syllabus is valid from 1 January 2021. The 2018–2020 syllabus will remain valid until 31 December 2021, giving a one year overlap. During this time, candidates may present pieces and technical work from the 2018–2020 or the 2021–2023 syllabus, but not both. Candidates should indicate which syllabus they are presenting on the appointment form handed to the examiner at the start of the exam
